Animal Farm favourite character
My favourite animal farm character is Boxer, the
horse, because he is a good leader even though he is not the head of the farm.
I also like him because he was the one that tried to the things better and
better, hard worker, dedicated to what he has to do and also he is very loyal.
His role inspires me to give dedication to what I do and always work hard to
make things better. Perseverance is what
he showed; I felt really sad what happened to him after the battle, because I thought
he was going to be a next leader, because of his loyalty hard work and
perseverance, such a nice character, Boxer. In what ways does Old Major uses rhetoric in his speech and what impact does this have in the animals?
Here I’m going to show how and in
what ways Old Major applies rhetoric in his speech. First of all rhetoric is a
way to convince people to follow your idea it’s is used in essay and like in
this situation, in speeches. Now Old Major tries to convince the animals from
the farm by using rhetoric.
He repeats his ideas, do several
questions and makes the animals think. He clearly shows his ideas, wants the
animals to fight against they’re actual situation and make the animals see that
they are all equal and they can fight for freedom. For example when he says “no
animal in England is free” this will make the animals think of their situation
and fight for freedom. He also uses questions “Why then do we continue in this
miserable condition?” this type of rhetoric question is the one that makes the
reader or listener think, in this case the animals. He answers the question to
show his idea, rebellion, “there,
comrades, is the answer to all our
problems. It is summed up in a single word--Man. Man is the only real
enemy we have. Remove Man from the scene and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished forever.”
problems. It is summed up in a single word--Man. Man is the only real
enemy we have. Remove Man from the scene and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished forever.”
With this speech and these
rhetoric devices is how Old Major made the revolution happen. Fight against man,
got freedom and equableness to all animals.

Animal Farm in 2013
I’m going to compare animal farm
a Peruvian issue which is the talks that many students receive in their
universities from this group called Movadef, this group looks for the
liberation of prisoners that have been politics but this also looks for the
freedom of terrorists. Many persons of this group have given lots of speech
saying that freedom is a right that we should all have. These men use a lot of
rhetoric in their speeches and that reminds me of Old Major, which is the way
the get more and more people. The true is that most of these teenagers that are
called don’t know what the persons in jail have done, and that is really disappointing.
They say they look for freedom and equableness in our society but their true
plan is to attempt against us. http://elcomercio.pe/actualidad/1624115/noticia-policia-justifico-presencia-agentes-encubiertos-san-marcos
Death in the animal farm!
How does Napoleon use his power to control the animals?
Death in the animal farm!
We
got the news that a man was found dead, they say that it was a murder. The witnesses
say that the humans entered into the farm and started attacking the animals on defense
they attacked back and this started a battle, a battle that brought a lot of
sadness, pain and death.
We
talk to the animals and they said that the humans killed a lot of sheep and
they were just trying to protect themselves, who killed the man was Boxer, he was
interrogated and this is what he said: “I didn’t mean to hurt nobody I was just
defending the farm and the animals, they killed our sheep, our friends! I
wouldn’t even hurt a human it was all self-defense!”.
The
animals say that Boxer is not a murder, he is a hero! They manifest that he did
a heroic act because they were being attacked and someone had to do something
and Boxer was their savior, he stopped the humans of taking the farm and
killing all the animals.
The
animal farm is now crying the death of their mates but little by little life
will be the same. They are still working on repairing the farm but they think
humans won’t be back, at least for a while.
How does Napoleon use his power to control the animals?
Napoleon
abuses of his power, now that he is the boss and head of the animal farm, he is
now able to tell them what to do and control them. He got there by propagandas
and lies and now he intimidates the animals to control them. He is not having a
good management of his position.
He
still uses propaganda to get into animals minds and make do as he pleases; he
does this because most of the animals are ignorant. He takes advantage that he
is more intelligent than the other animals and he receives a lot of help from Squealer
who give speeches and sometimes lie to the animals to make them think that the
best boss they’ve ever had is Napoleon. He also has dogs that are always
protecting him so animals can´t fight against him.
So
Napoleon using his power to do as he pleases he is controlling the animals,
lying to them and intimidating them. He is not doing thing well and also he is
doing them without truth and that’s the profile of a good leader.
1. Nice, emotive writing. Your sense of empathy for the character is clear, and your description of him is accurate.
ResponderEliminar2. Very brief and to the point. Some more explanation of your ideas is necessary. For example - the end of your first paragraph doesn't state what he is going to convince the animals of.
You make very good use of two quotes to illustrate the effective use of rhetorical questions.
3. Excellent identification of some of the themes in the book, from people who act without knowing why, to the use of rhetoric by idealists to motivate people to act. Well done.
4. A very basic report, but nice choice of 'eyewitness'.
5. Also very basic. You haven't analysed how Napoleon wields his power and the effect of this on the animals. Also - I don't think your closing line says what you intend to say.
There is some very good work in here. From now on, take the time to ensure there is more of this quality in your work.
